Chances are you're written an ajax application with little places all over the page that needed updating from time to time. On a more subtle website some of those updates can involve pretty complex html.

Snippets are a lightweight way to help you separate your html from your javascript code. Snippets can be used with, or without jQuery.

You can use snippets with or without jQuery. jQuery essentially adds an easy targeting mechanism and url loading of snippets

Stand Alone (SnippetLib)

If you don't want to use jQuery a Snippet Library (SnippetLib) object will be instantiate with the variable name sl. In the interests of keeping this page short I've listed the equivalent jQuery function beside them.
